Bible Code

Ancient Jewish sources teach us how to "read" these blueprints. Suppose we eliminate all spaces in the Torah, and consider the text as one long sequence of 304,805 letters. A computer then finds hidden words, encoded at equal skips of letters. Statisticians call this phenomenon an ELS - short for "equidistant letter sequence."

The Torah Codes definitely exist. They foretell names and places of events throughout human history: Holocaust, Sadat, AIDS. Torah Codes cannot tell us information we don't already know. But what they do tell us is that the author of the Torah knew minute details of world history, to our very age.

Given the consequences of this research, it was inevitable that some people would take exception to the findings. Despite the integrity of the research and the researchers, critics have made many strong attempts to refute the research...

Part 2 of Jesus Codes debate

We, as a nation, are at a critical point in Jewish history, and it seems to be getting more critical each day. Years ago, a Torah Code was found that said: "Know the tenth month, know 5766."

By now, many people are familiar with the "Bible Codes." For those who are unfamiliar with this term, it refers to hidden references in the Torah to either people or events that occurred outside the Torah's historical point of reference.

Those familiar with the Torah Codes may also be familiar with the controversy they have created. While some are clearly enthralled by them and see Divine messages in them, others dislike them...

The fascinating phenomenon of the Torah Codes has gained widespread attention since Witztum, Rips, and Rosenberg published "Equidistant Letter Sequences in the Book of Genesis" in the respected journal, 'Statistical Science'.

Dr. Barry Simon has chosen to publically attack both the scientific Codes research and the integrity of Aish HaTorah's presentation of Codes in their ongoing Kiruv Rechokim efforts.
